1 Day Stirling, Loch Lomond & Kelpies Tour
Only have one day? Come with us!
Leaving Edinburgh we head west towards the beautiful Medieval City of Stirling. Here we stop at Stirling Castle for a photo opportunity and a wee wander around the Castle Esplanade (We do not enter the Castle due to time constraints).
We then drive the short distance to the Wallace Monument, built to commemorate the Scottish freedom fighter William Wallace, for a climb to the base of the Monument and beautiful views of the Trossachs.
Our journey from here cuts along the Forth Valley and into the foothills of the Highlands and into the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Following the Dukes pass we will pass the stunning Lochs Loch Venachar and Loch Voil on our way for a lunch stop at Aberfoyle.
A short trip from here takes us to the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond and stunning views of one of Scotland’s most famous Lochs. Here we will have the chance for a walk on the shores and maybe some refreshment at the local bar.
Leaving Loch Lomond we travel homeward to Edinburgh stopping at the beautiful Sculptures of the Kelpies near Falkirk. The Kelpies are a mythical shape changing horses and these statues are breath-taking in their size and beauty.
We will return to Edinburgh for around 5.30pm.
