Luggage Storage

When travelling on a MacBackpackers tour, it’s important to pack light.

 

Due to limited space on our buses, each passenger can only bring one medium-sized suitcase or backpack (around 65 litres) plus one small personal item (such as a daypack or handbag). For most travellers, this is more than enough if you pack efficiently.

If you have additional luggage, you’ll need to arrange storage in advance. Castle Rock Hostel offers luggage storage, but this must be organised directly with their reception team ahead of time and with plenty of notice.

Alternatively, if you are staying at one of our partner hostels (such as High Street Hostel or Royal Mile Backpackers) and returning there after your tour, it may be more convenient to store your luggage with them directly.

Top tips:

• Along with your main luggage that will be stored in the back of the bus, pack a smaller bag for your tour with cash, water, snacks and medications to stay comfortable on the road. 

• Arrange storage ahead to time to store any extra items that won't fit in your main luggage securely before departure.
