We know Scotland like the back of our hands and we love showing off our country to people from around the world.

Over time we’ve designed incredible itineraries showcasing Scotland’s most beautiful natural wonders, and of course giving you a taste of what it means to be Scottish.

We reserve hostel beds for you when you book a tour with us! Hostel beds sell out fast… especially over the summer months. We ensure you get a reserved bed while on tour at a fair price.

We even keep aside a special space for you at the Castle Rock Hostel in Edinburgh the night before and after all 5 day tours just in case you need a place to stay!

What if I'm over 40?

If you’re over 40 we sadly won’t be able to host you on one of our tours. Thankfully there’s lots of other tour companies in Scotland that will be more than happy to show you our bonnie land which you can find easily on Google. We’re strict on this policy in order to give our customers the best chance of making friends and to allow us to have a more active style of tour.

How large are your tours?

We have 2 different sizes of tour buses; 16 and 28 seaters. Each person on our tours has their accommodation reserved throughout the tour, so you will get to stay with the same group throughout your tour and make some likeminded friends along the way. You also won’t have to look for accommodation in the Highlands, which can be very expensive and difficult during the summer months.

Do you offer private tours?

We are able to organise private tours for groups, but require a minimum of a 28 seater bus to be rented out and to be contacted at least 6 months in advance. If you’re interested in organising a private tour then get in touch by emailing us on info@macbackpackers.com
