A new addition to the MacBackpackers family - Lochside Hostel is makes its 2016 debut in fantastic fashion. We're inviting guests from our tours to experience this amazing hostel nestled among the trees right on the water's edge. 

Perched on the banks of Loch Ness, The Lochside Hostel offers unrivalled views of the Loch, and direct access to the water's edge. Perfect for walks, monster spotting and even a dip into the magical waters.

A mere 10 seconds from the banks of Loch Ness, Lochside Hostel is utterly unique in its location, views and facilities. 

You can also relax in front of our beautiful real fire and take advantage of our FREE WiFi.

Please note: Due to the remote location of The Lochside Hostel there are no local shops - Guests are encouraged to prepare for their visit in advance. 

Lochbuie Guest House

Lochbuie Guest House is our own private guest house in the town of Kyleakin, used exclusively for our tours! It's located just a 5 minute walk from all the town's pubs and can house up to 30 people. You won't find a more cosy spot to lay down your head than our little home which has views out towards the Kyle of Lochalsh and Castle Moil. 

Breakfast is included on every stay at Lochbuie and you also have all the free tea, coffee and hot chocolate you could possibly need! If you don't feel like frequenting the local boozers then you're welcome to use our fully equipped kitchen to whip up something tasty for dinner or breakfast. 

Our hot showers are sure to warm you up after your day exploring Scotland and each bed comes with warm duvets and comfortable pillows to ensure you get a good nights sleep.

Oban Backpackers

Oban Backpackers is in a great location to make the most of your stay time in the evenings. It has big comfy bunk beds with sheets and duvets. Warm and cosy dorms. Spacious lounge area with pool table. Friendly hostel staff and a great international atmosphere. Awesome showers with loads of hot water. Fully equipped kitchen and large dining area.

The hostel has free Wi-Fi, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
